Our Product:
Liquid Stone Designs uses a high-strength, high-density concrete mix that reduces the chances of your creation cracking, chipping or staining. The mix is a combination of Portland cement, aggregates, reinforcing fibers, steel mesh, and several admixtures that provide strength to the final product. Standard countertop thickness is 1.5”, but can vary thickness depending on customer specifications.

Process:
All of our products are pre-cast in our studio where we control the environment enabling a higher quality product while remaining off the job site. An initial visit to the jobsite is the first step to creating our products. We measure the design space and create a template of the exact dimensions. From there, we return to our studio to begin to form the molds in which the concrete will be poured. After the concrete has cured for 3-5 days in the mold, it is released for finishing. We polish, seal, and wax our product to prepare it for delivery. We use a penetrating sealer as well as a satin seal top coat providing maximum resistance to staining.
Average lead time for our products is 3-6 weeks depending on size, complexity, and scheduling demands.

Concrete’s appeal surpasses its natural, warm look and feel. The great advantage cast concrete possesses over it’s natural stone counterparts is it’s ability for customization. Concrete’s initial liquid state allows it to be formed into a variety of shapes and sizes including an array of edge options that could be cost prohibitive in other materials. Concrete can be colored in a broad spectrum of hues as well as custom stained to create a beautifully modeled look. Concrete also allows features such as drain boards, sinks, dishes and fountains to be integrated with the design. Items such as metal, glass, tile, and shells can be inlayed to add a personal touch to our unique products.

Liquid Stone Designs’ concrete products are a custom-crafted original offering individuality and flexibility. Purchase of our products should be based on their inherent beauty, artistry, and ability for customization.
Cost for our product can range from $40 - $80 per square foot. An additional delivery and installation charge applies. Factors contributing to additional cost include irregular shapes, integrated features, custom color, unusual edging, and greater thickness.
