Liquid
Stone Designs’ products
are extremely durable and practical and will provide
many years of satisfaction as long as they are properly
maintained. Knives should not be used directly on the
countertops. Though this will cause minimal damage
to the concrete, it will pierce the sealer, compromising
its ability to prevent stains, as well as wreak havoc
on your cutlery.
We can cast an indentation for an integrated cutting
board if desired. You will want to avoid placing hot
pots and pans directly on the surface of the concrete.
Concrete is a naturally heat resistant material, but
again, this may damage or discolor the sealer. All spills
should be wiped up as soon as possible. You may clean
your concrete products with a neutral ph cleaner such
as Simple Green. Avoid using acidic or abrasive cleaners
on concrete products. You will want to reapply a coat
of carnauba or beeswax every two to three months depending
on the level of patina you would like to develop.
Liquid Stone Designs will provide technical assistance
for the life of its products as well as offer a 1 year
warranty on any structural defects. Repair or replacement
will be offered if the product is incapable of maintaining
its structural and practical purpose. Liquid Stone Designs
does not take responsibility of damage to our products
due to gross negligence, failure of supporting materials,
or acts of nature.
Like
any other natural, porous material, concrete can
crack,
chip, and stain. However, Liquid Stone Designs’ concrete
products contain many additives to strengthen the concrete
as well as reduce shrinkage which causes cracking.
No matter what methods of construction are used, concrete
can still develop small hairline cracks that though
visible, are not structural and will not compromise
the strength of the concrete. Our penetrating sealer
and satin top coat make the concrete less permeable,
reducing the chance for stain. However, minor stains
are simply part of the ever changing charm and patina
of concrete.
